Nurse-Led Colonic Hydrotherapy

A gentle, supportive approach to digestive health.

What is Colonic Hydrotherapy?

Colonic hydrotherapy also known as colonic irrigation, is a gentle, water-based therapy.

People choose colonic hydrotherapy for a variety of reasons. Some seek temporary relief from constipation, bloating or feelings of fullness, while others include it as part of a holistic self-care routine.

By introducing water into the colon, the treatment can help soften stool and support regularbowel movements. Some people report feeling lighter and less bloated following a session.

Colonic hydrotherapy is not a weight-loss treatment, but it can be considered alongside a balanced lifestyle that includes mindful eating, adequate hydration, regular movement and other healthy habits. Some clients choose to include colonic hydrotherapy as part of a wider detox or wellbeing programme; however, the body’s natural detoxification processes are primarily carried out by the liver and kidneys.

The Angel Of Water® CM-1 System

Advanced Filtration

Water is gently warmed and purified using a dual-stage filtration system that includes ultraviolet and carbon filters to maintain high sanitation standards.

Medical-Grade Equipment

The system uses professional equipment and single-use, disposable nozzles to ensure cleanliness and client safety.

Comfort-Focused Design

The open system is designed to be discreet and gentle, allowing you to relax in a supported reclining position throughout the session.

Your first session begins with a comprehensive health consultation.
You’ll start by completing a detailed health form, followed by a one-on-one discussion where you can share any relevant medical history, and medications. This ensures that the treatment is fully personalised to your needs.

If you're new to colonic hydrotherapy, Sarah will guide you through each step of the treatment, explaining what to expect and answering any questions you may have. Clear communication and reassurance are a key part of every appointment, ensuring that you always feel supported throughout your treatment.

During the session, you will rest comfortably in a supported reclining position.
Warm, filtered water will be gently introduced into the colon to assist your body’s natural elimination pathway and stimulate peristalsis (the natural contractions of the colon). You will feel natural sensations as the water is released. These sensations usually come in waves, and most clients quickly settle into their body’s natural rhythm of eliminating.

The treatment typically lasts between 30 and 40 minutes. For your first appointment, please allow up to 90 minutes to include the consultation, treatment, and preparation time.

After the session, you'll receive guidance on hydration and dietary support.
This is an important step to ensure the best results and help your body adjust post-treatment. You’re free to return to your usual daily activities after treatment, but allow time for rest if you feel you may need.

Your First Colonic Treatment

Before any treatment, a thorough health consultation is carried out to review your medical history and identify any potential contraindications. Colonic hydrotherapy may not be suitable for certain medical conditions, and your wellbeing always comes first. If it’s not the right option for you, Sarah will recommend suitable alternatives.

Health Consultation

There is no formal preparation required, but a few simple steps can help you feel relaxed and ready for your appointment.
